Comissioned by Hunters South Architects, LLD prepared a landscape design strategy for the re-development of Lansdowne School, London, including new areas for external learning, vocational training, outdoor gym and allotment, and hard and soft play areas surrounding the new building.
The soft landscape proposals aimed to implement infrastructure planting in the form of native tree, hedge and ornamental tree planting to the western and northern site boundaries, and within the habitat, external learning and play areas, planted with areas of flowering shrub and native wildflower grassland.
The redevelopment aimed to remove barriers to learning, and provide pupuils with the space and opportunity to develop life and employment skills, whilst enjoying the health benefits of exercise and outdoor activitites.
