The Keep is an historical resource centre and County records store for both East Sussex and Brighton & Hove City Council.
The ecological and landscape design strategy for the development ensured that all features including chalk grassland, hedgerows and woodland edges be retained, protected and enhanced. The landscape and ecological design strategy included the planting of native species and the creation of habitats suited to the existing landscape, character, and context of the surrounding area.
In line with the aspirations of the BREEAM Land Use and Ecology Credits, the species and bio-diversity within the development site were retained, protected and enhanced where possible.
